Conor Blaney, EIT

My interest in civil engineering is long-standing as I have always enjoyed problem solving and building from a very young age.  After graduating from Clemson University in 2014, I was given the opportunity to work with Ward Edwards Engineering where I continue to further my knowledge through work experiences while working towards my professional engineering license.  Since joining the company, I have gained a vast amount of understanding and experience in local land development ordinances, permitting agencies, and the area’s unique coastal marshland environment.

Much of my family is either originally from or still residing in the Lowcountry of SC.  Since I grew up on the coast of Virginia, it is gratifying to live and give back to the community located so close to my roots.  I spend much of my free time outside, enjoying everything from playing tennis, to photographing the distinctive Lowcountry landscape, to longboarding the meandering paths through Hilton Head Island.

I believe that land should be developed in a way that compliments the surrounding landscape’s beauty while maximizing efficiency in an environmentally friendly manor.  I feel privileged to work for Ward Edwards Engineering where I am able to utilize my education and technical skills to help create civil engineering plans that will make reputable and functional land improvements while having the longevity to endure many generations to come.
