Community Gets Creative with Green Projects
Our inaugural year of the Healthy Community Grant Program was a success! Originally, we intended to invest up to $10,000 in local projects that benefit the benefit the environment. We were so impressed with the diversity of the projects and the creativity of the organizations that we were compelled to increase the funding by twenty-five percent. Below are the 2007/2008 Healthy Community Grant projects. Each received an award which was an original work of art painted by Eric Longo on a piece of recycled metal.
