My family has been in the Beaufort area and the South Carolina Lowcountry for many generations, so I grew up fishing, shrimping, and boating in the local waters. This is why I chose water resources as an emphasis of study for my undergraduate and graduate work in civil engineering at Clemson University. I take pride in using my education to develop and create engineering solutions that will protect and improve water quality.
I am a math and science geek who loves to learn and explore new ideas, a trait strengthened by my time at the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics. The critical and analytical thinking skills I learned there have also served me well in my career as a design engineer. Although often quiet and reserved, I love being involved in many different local organizations and being active in the community.
